Parkour for Getty Images

Parkour

Recently, I did some work for Getty Images creative division. I was asked to shoot a brief capturing the spirit and essence of parkour and parkour athletes. Tyson Cecka and Colin MacDonald of Parkour Visions offered their superhero like talents for the shoot at Gas Works Park.

My goal was to capture a sense of power and energy that is associated with parkour. Big ups to my man Jesse for working the lighting and Parkour Visions for the talent. If you haven’t checked out their gym on Nickerson I suggest you do so! Images are available for purchase on Getty’s website. Check out the rest of the images in the gallery.

Winter Getaway

CabinWinter121512

The boys and I at Emerald have been pretty busy the last couple of weeks so it was time to for a getaway. We were graciously hosted by our buddy, Andy, in Plain, Washington. It was nice to be in a different environment despite my weakness to cold weather. The weekend went by quick but the snow, brews, and change of scenery did us good!

Salon de DASSdance

I was asked by a friend to photograph Salon de DASSdance an event where I enjoyed an evening of live music, fine art, dance performances by DASSdance and the Can Can Castaways, a bar and free food. What more can a young boy ask for! Here are some shots from the amazing dance performances. The Salon is held the first Monday of the month at Washington Hall in the Central District. Come to the next one and buy me a drink!

Nero at the WaMu Theater

The Emerald Collective, the photo collective I’m apart of with Jordan Stead, photographed Dubstep DJ Nero at the WaMu Theater in downtown Seattle for New Year’s Eve. The energy and the masses of people was incredible. After what seemed forever to get the proper credentials we were given free roam to cover the event. Thanks for looking.

Featured on The Blueberry Wedding Blog

The wonderful people at The Blueberry Wedding Blog featured a wedding I shot for Stacy and Jason at Evergreen Gardens. The blog is a great way for brides to get ideas and find some inspiration. Check out the post and the lovely write-up.

Pike Place Market

I got up early and drove to Pike Place Market to catch some early light. The morning always has a sense of calm and quiet that I find comforting.
