I went to California a couple weeks ago for my Lola’s 93rd birthday. Seeing family is always refreshing and my Lola is the matriarch of the family and the last grandparent I have left. These are mostly for the family, so peruse at your own liking. Click on for more

Day 2

Yesterday I photographed track at Orange Coast College. I didn’t do as bad as I thought yesterday. My close-up of the wrestler made it into the finals for picture of the day along with these first two frames. Tomorrow I will put up more. Last day of SSAVI tomorrow and it has been a challenge. First day of shooting

These are the photos I shot today at SSAVI. We got to photograph John Drake a wrestler at Cal State. I had a hard time conceptualizing what I wanted to do. Hopefully I’ll have better luck tomorrow at the track meet. It’s late and I sucked  today so I’m not writing anymore.

A Savage time

I went on a date to watch Dan Savage, of The Stranger, speak on Western’s campus last night. He is an interesting individual, hilarious and insightful. I highly suggest to read his sex advice column Strange Love. Here are a few frames I fired from my seat (yeah I’m a good date). -Mark
