First week

I just finished my first week at the Skagit Valley Herald down in Mount Vernon. Skagit County is quite different than Bellingham. Opposite most of the time, but the rural areas feel reminiscent of home. The city has a sparse population and the epicenter seems to be the strip mall. However, there are so many interesting pockets of character the farther you drive. I’m excited to learn more about the area and the people. Here are a few photos from my first week and the outtakes.
