I got my start working in the newspaper industry interning for The Bellingham Herald, The Skagit Valley Herald and Western Washington University. I went on to freelance for editorial clients with work published in The Seattle Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today along with international media outlets through ZUMA Press.

My photos have gained recognition by the Society of Professional Journalists, National Press Photographers Association and The Associated Press. In 2010 I received the Earth Journalism Network Climate Media Fellowship to cover the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Cancun, Mexico.

Most recently I moved to Seattle, Washington, to find new opportunities photographing for editorial, portrait and wedding clients. In my free time I enjoy hiking a trail, getting dirty in the garden or dancing like there’s no tomorrow!
