Nudist photo illustration

I had the opportunity to produce a photo illustration to supplement a story about nudists for the upcoming Klipsun magazine. It was difficult to come up with an idea to translate nudism and at the same time refrain from sexually charging the image. I tried multiple variations on this concept, but I found that a silhouette with some simple lighting worked best.

Dumpster diving cover concepts

Here is a photo-illustration that Jon Bergman, Damon Call and myself worked on for the cover of Klipsun magazine. The story was about dumpster divers, who search for a myriad of products that stores throw away (food, candles, etc.). My friend gave us permission to use her dumpster, which was ripe to say the least. Despite jumping in multiple times and smelling like a diaper filled with mayo on a hot day, it was a fun night. We left some room up top for the flag.

Athos. Porthos?
After enjoying the advances of a mother and daughter duo at the local rugby bar, Jaeger and I continued our adventure throughout Portland cruising to the base of Mount St. Helens. We braved the icy roads with the help of the King and were treated with some beautiful scenery. After refueling on diarrhetic chai lattes and red bulls we headed back home to beautiful Bellingham. Respect the Honda.

Night at Neumos
Last weekend I went to Neumos to shoot a show (despite the clueless security staff). The venue was pretty sweet with plenty of room, crisp acoustics and plenty of liquid courage to go around. I haven’t shot night life in awhile, but I had fun. Here are a couple frames from the show. Click on the link below for the rest of the images.
